Homicide Investigation - 800 Block C Street

HAYWARD, Calif., On August 28,2024,at approximately 6:44 a.m., Hayward Fire/MedicalPersonnelresponded to the report ofan unconscious man outside near the 800 block of C Street.

Medical personnel located the 60-year-old male who appeared to have had been deceased for several hours.

Hayward PDofficers respondedto investigate. During the course ofthe investigation, it was determinedthat the 60-year-old malesuffered from apparent stab woundsand this incident is being investigated as a homicide.

The victim's identity is known but is not being released at this time, pending formal identification protocols by the Alameda County Coroner's Office and notifications to next of kin.

There is no one in custody at this time. This investigation is ongoing, and additional details will be released whenthey are available.
