State Police arrest Hebron man following road rage incident

On November 17, 2024, State Police of Greenwich arrested Mark E. Mattison, 56, of Salem, NY, for Menacing in the second degree.

On November 17, 2024, at about 11:20 a.m. Troopers received a complaint that during a road rage incident, an individual displayed what appeared to be a handgun. The investigation determined Mattison and the victims were driving on County Route 31 in Hebron, NY, when Mattison reportedly drove aggressively. The victim pulled over during the incident, and Mattison allegedly displayed a handgun and threatened to shoot the victim. The victims fled and contacted 911.

Mattison was arrested at his home and transported to SP Greenwich for processing. He was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Hebron Town Court on December 16, 2024, and released.
