Visitors observe the fossils
Jehol (Rehe) was one of the provinces in China under the old administrative division, encompassing northern Hebei, western Liaoning, and eastern Inner Mongolia. In the Jehol area, the Mesozoic strata are highly developed, preserving a wide variety of paleontological fossils. This exhibition marks the first time that a significant number of rare fossils from the Mesozoic era in the Jehol region are showcased, highlighting the diversity and distinctiveness of the ancient biological communities in the Jehol region.
