Bismarck State College (BSC) will host its second Content Creators Summit tailored for those interested in pursuing creative media careers. Scheduled for Friday, Nov. 15, from 9 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (CST), this educational event is perfect for someone exploring careers in creative media such as writing, graphic design, social media, news and videography.

The keynote speaker for this fall's event is Matt Wurnig, creator of "50 Dates 50 States," who has generated more than 600,000 followers on social media and 300 million views of his content on social media platforms. Wurnig will share his unique journey of building a social media brand across all 50 states, offering attendees insights into content creation, audience engagement, and entrepreneurship.

In addition to Wurnig, attendees will also hear from industry leaders including Cecile Wehrman, executive director of the North Dakota Newspaper Association; Amy Dalrymple, editor of the North Dakota Monitor; Matt Fern, founder and president of The Creative Treatment; Ben Brick, co-owner of The Good Kids; and Midwest Murder podcast co-host Jonah Lantto. These experts will provide invaluable perspectives on topics ranging from media careers to creative storytelling.

Throughout the day, attendees will participate in breakout sessions led by industry experts covering a diverse range of topics, including photography, animation, audio, storytelling, critical thinking and more. Each 50-minute session is designed to equip students with practical skills and valuable insights into the world of creative media. The day will wrap up with a panel discussion on media career opportunities.

The Content Creators Summit will be held in the BSC National Energy Center of Excellence, 1200 Schafer St. and admission is free. Lunch will be provided, and attendees will receive fun BSC swag. Students or student groups are encouraged to secure their spot by registering before Nov. 8 at bismarckstate.edu/ContentCreators.
