North Shore author Peter Millett is celebrating 25 years as a children's author, and he's reading his latest two picture books in selected libraries during the school holidays.

Mindful Photography - Ages 8-12

Slow down and appreciate the beauty in ordinary spaces with our photography workshop. Bring your own device with a camera. We will have a few devices available to share for tamariki that don't have a camera.

Jar Full of Wishes

Learn how to make mini origami puff stars from paper strips. To create your "jar full of wishes" simply bring your own jar, write a message on the paper strip, fold it into a star, pop it in your jar…then make some more!

Matariki Harakeke weaving and talk with Kendra

Learn each star's name and what it correlates to including the South Island Te Waipounamu star Puanga or Puaka. Learn and sing a Matariki waiata and learn the art of weaving whetū stars and Putiputi flowers.
