Bike Walk Macon is excited to announce the first-ever Macon's Big Bike Ride, happening during Downtown Macon's First Friday on November 1, 2024. This powerful event and fundraiser will unite hundreds of middle Georgia bicyclists to champion safer, more connected streets and promote a healthier, more vibrant community.

The ride will begin at Cherry Street Plaza at 6:30 PM and take participants on a scenic 7-mile slow roll through Downtown Macon and nearby neighborhoods. Designed for all ages and skill levels, the ride welcomes everyone, from newcomers to experienced bicyclists. Along the route, participants will have the opportunity to stop at various points to enjoy the sights, learn about ongoing transportation projects, and connect with fellow riders.

Macon's Big Bike Ride is more than just a celebration of bicycling-it's a movement. The event will serve as a strong statement in support of bike-friendly infrastructure, multimodal transportation options, and a thriving bicycling community. By participating, riders will directly contribute to the mission of Bike Walk Macon and help raise essential funds to support future community events, educational programs, and advocacy initiatives.
