State Police investigate a motorcycle fatal in the town of North ...

On August 6, 2024, at approximately 3:01 p.m., State Police members responded to 930 Interstate 87 in the town of North Hudson for a report of a motorcycle accident. An investigation determined that a red 2024 Honda Motor CO motorcycle operated by Brock A. Pynes, age 19, of Schroon Lake, NY, was traveling on the on-ramp of exit 29 when he lost control of the motorcycle resulting in Pynes sliding into the right southbound lane of travel on Interstate 87 causing the operator of a 2016 Subaru Forrester to strike Pynes.

Pynes was pronounced deceased on the scene.

State Police Criminal Bureau of Investigation, Collision Reconstruction Unit arrived to investigate the scene. They were assisted by North Hudson Fire and EMS, Schroon Lake EMS, and the Essex County coroner.

This is an ongoing investigation.
