Two people have been detained after one of them pointed a replica firearm at multiple victims in Downtown Portland, and additional victims are being sought by officers.

On Saturday, September 28, 2024 at 5:23 p.m., Portland Police Officers assigned to Central Precinct responded to a suspicious circumstances call at West Burnside Street at Southwest 6th Avenue. The caller reported that the suspect was pointing a handgun at multiple people.

Officers quickly responded to the area and were updated with information that the suspect was driving away in a black Acura TLX sedan.
