New Collection from Serena Williams Design Crew Takes Inspiration from the Next Generation

Nike's latest collection from signature athlete Serena Williams' namesake Design Crew champions the limitless potential of the next generation by elevating the voices and ideas of a diverse team of design apprentices from Serena's childhood home of Los Angeles.

The collection, comprised of a lifestyle sneaker and five striking apparel pieces, underscores Nike's commitment to promoting diversity in design and to continually advancing its model of athlete partnership.

"I'm excited to continue my partnership with Nike and proud to provide emerging Los Angeles designers a platform to explore their craft and bring a touch of our dynamic LA edge to sport style in an influential way," says Serena, who has partnered with Nike since 2019 to develop the apprenticeship program.

At the center of the collection is the Victory Tech sneaker, which fuses the Tech Hera's retro aesthetic with Serena's own modern sensibilities. The arch piece and lacing system celebrate iconic Los Angeles architecture, while gold details add subtle luxury. The sock liner pays homage to Serena's first steps onto the court where she started her career, and a motivating message from Serena herself graces the inside of the tongue.

Serena's love for fashion and tennis combine in a bold, cutout tank top and loose, mid-rise short that feature curved design lines reminiscent of a tennis ball and can be worn either as separates or as a set to evoke a contemporary, athletic look.

A short-sleeve top and mid-rise pant take inspiration from the baseball diamond, with vertical stripes and lightweight fabric that promote freedom of movement and ample styling options.

Finally, an oversized bomber jacket combines classic sport details such as varsity-inspired patches and stripes with lightweight, modern materials that deliver plenty of warmth without adding bulk, making the piece a perfect complement to the rest of the collection.

The fall 2024 Serena Williams Design Crew collection will be available globally at nike.com and select retail locations September 17.
