Hayes: “The NRCC Is Correct”

Hayes: "The NRCC Is Correct"

October 1, 2024

Today, Jahana Hayes admitted what we all already knew: "The NRCC is correct."

Jahana Hayes voted against a bipartisan bill to permanently classify fentanyl in the most dangerous category of drugs.

Hayes's vote went against every other member of the Connecticut delegation and we are holding her accountable for it.

Hayes's vote is especially egregious when you recall that in 2019 she claimedthat one of her "biggest priorities in Congress is working to curb the opioid crisis threatening our community."

"Jahana Hayes's lack of commitment to actually working to end the drug epidemic that is killing millions every year, whether it be through voting against the HALT Fentanyl Act or supporting porous borders, is a slap in the face to everyone whose lives have been impacted by dangerous drugs." - NRCC Spokeswoman Savannah Viar
