DC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) Releases 2024 Outdoor Pool Closure Schedule

(Washington, DC) - The DC Department of Parks and Recreation (DPR) has released the following outdoor pool closure schedule for the 2024 summer season.

Outdoor pools will close in waves beginning on Sunday, August 4, 2024. Pools will close for the season on their respective Sundays; with the exception of Francis Pool, Hearst Pool, Langdon Park Pool, Rosedale Pool, Ridge Road Pool, Oxon Run Pool, and Upshur Pool, which will close on Labor Day, Monday, September 2, 2024.

Below is the comprehensive closure schedule for the 2024 season. Pools are listed by date of closure. Please visit dpr.dc.gov/outdoorpools for additional details.

Closing on Sunday, August 4, for the season:

• Happy Hallow Children's Pool (2200 Champlain Street, NW)
• Park View Children's Pool (693 Otis Place, NW)
• Lincoln Capper Children's Pool (555 L Street, SE)
• Kelly Miller Pool (4900 Brooks Street, NE)

Closing on Sunday, August 11, for the season:

• Woody Ward Pool (5100 Southern Avenue, SE)
• Theodore Hagans Pool (3201 Fort Lincoln Drive, NE)

Closing on Sunday, August 18, for the season:

• Anacostia Pool (1800 Anacostia Drive, SE)
• Douglass Pool (1921 Frederick Douglass Court. SE)
• Kenilworth Pool (4321 Ord Street, NE)
• Randall Pool (25 I Street, SW)
• Volta Park Pool (1555 34th Street, NW)

Closing on Sunday, August 25, for the season:
