Santa Rosa BOCC FY25 Budget Adopted

October 1 begins the new 2025 Fiscal Year budget for Santa Rosa County and to help ease the financial burden on property owners, Santa Rosa County has reduced the property tax millage rate to 5.955 mils from 6.0953. This marks the first millage reduction in over 17 years and is part of a broader strategy to diversify the county's revenue sources.

This reduction is accompanied by two new ordinances: one for transportation impact fees and another proposing the penny sales tax increase specifically for transportation infrastructure. More information about the two revenues are online at www.santarosa.fl.gov/PennyTax and https://www.santarosa.fl.gov/768/Impact-Fee-Information.

Santa Rosa County's property tax millage decrease, coupled with the strategic use of other revenues, reflects a proactive approach to addressing the county's financial needs while minimizing the tax burden on residents and aims to maintain essential services and infrastructure improvements for years to come.
