Man dies following single-vehicle collision involving pedestrian

A 74-year-old man from Balmoral, N.B., has died following a single-vehicle collision with a pedestrian in Balmoral, N.B.

On November 13, 2024, at approximately 4:11 p.m., members of the Campbellton RCMP detachment responded to a report of a single-vehicle collision involving a pedestrian on Avenue des Pionniers, in Balmoral.

The collision is believed to have occurred when the vehicle, travelling westbound on Avenue des Pionniers, collided with the pedestrian who was attempting to cross the street.

The pedestrian died at the scene as a result of his injuries. The driver of the vehicle was uninjured.

Members of the Balmoral Fire Department and Ambulance New Brunswick also attended the scene. A member of the New Brunswick Coroner's office and an RCMP Collision Reconstructionist are assisting with the ongoing investigation.
