Public Notice for Devine Farm Road Bridge Replacement

Escambia County's Construction Management Division will soon begin the Devine Farm Road Bridge Replacement project in Cantonment.

Project Overview

The project will include replacing the structure, drainage upgrades, sidewalk and paving. The bridge will be open during construction and traffic will be reduced to a single lane for the duration of the replacement project. The existing bridge will be reduced to a single lane with temporary traffic signals while the new structure is installed. The project duration is 500 days with an anticipated completion date of June 1, 2026.

Resident Information

• Construction costs are funded by the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA), totaling $6,126,227.49.
• Chavers Construction, Inc. is the primary contractor.
• Areas outside of the project limits that are impacted during construction will be returned to their previous state.
• Access to adjacent properties will be maintained, although there may be short periods when a driveway or entrance is blocked.
• A Neel Schaffer CEI Inspector will monitor the construction area daily.
• Resident cooperation and patience is appreciated during the construction process.
