Democracy Forward, Reps. Huffman, Lieu and Escobar Host Press Call on Dangers of Project 2025

Washington, D.C. - On Friday, September 27, 2024 at 12 PM ET, President and CEO of Democracy Forward, Skye Perryman, will host U.S. Representatives Jared Huffman, Ted Lieu, and Veronica Escobar for a press call to discuss the threats of Project 2025. Speakers will highlight how the playbook for a future far-right administration would radically undermine people's ability to make ends meet, reproductive rights, LGBTQ+ equality, racial justice, free speech, and other democratic freedoms.

Earlier this year, Democracy Forward released The People's Guide to Project 2025, warning the American public of the many alarming proposals in the 900+ page document. Pro-democracy members of Congress and organizations like Democracy Forward are coming together to fight back against Project 2025 and ensure its radical agenda is never enacted. In June, Rep. Huffman announced a new working group called The Stop Project 2025 Task Force to counter Project 2025's dangerous agenda.
