LANSING - Michigan Democratic Party spokesperson Sam Chan issued the following statement in response to the new report that Mike Rogers "personally benefited from his connections to China in opposition to U.S. national security interests."
"Revolving Door Rogers sold out our national security to China so he could enrich himself at Michiganders' expense. At every opportunity, Rogers has shown he is only looking out for himself - and that's why Michiganders can't trust him to represent us in the Senate," said Michigan Democratic Party spokesperson Sam Chan.
The story notes that Rogers has a "long record of helping expand the reach of Chinese companies in the U.S. and Europe," and he "opposed trade restrictions on China during his 14 years in Congress from 2001-2015."
