The County of San Diego is committed to removing barriers and making support services accessible to everyone, especially at-risk populations. Community Pop-up Resource Events are proving to be very effective in bringing support directly to the people who are eligible.
Through a partnership with the City of San Diego, District Attorney's office, Public Defender's office and many non-profit organizations, 31 events have been held throughout the county since 2021, and thousands of people have been helped.
In mid-July, a pop-up event in City Heights that included a Mobile Homeless Court had people arriving early in the morning and providers busy all day.
