As the Mayor of Brockton, I understand that the results of the recent presidential election have raised concerns and uncertainties around immigration status and policy for many members of our community. I want to assure you that I am committed to doing everything within my capacity to protect those living in our City legally and to continue welcoming our vibrant immigrant community.
Brockton has a long history of embracing diversity, and I firmly believe that immigrants play a vital role in the success and growth of our City. While I am in office, I will work tirelessly to ensure that all residents, regardless of their background, have access to the resources they need to thrive. This includes access to services, information, and support to navigate any challenges that may arise due to the potential changing of Federal policies.
If you or someone you know has questions or concerns about immigration matters, I encourage you to reach out to my Director of Immigrant Affairs, Ms. Courtney Henderson. My office and our dedicated team members are here to help, and our doors remain open to every resident who needs assistance in any manner whatsoever.
Together, we will continue to build a community that is welcoming, inclusive, and supportive of all who call Brockton home.
Sincerely,
Robert F. Sullivan
Mayor, City of Brockton
