NEWS RELEASE- Burglary of Coin Operating Machine

EL PASO, TEXAS - On November 10, 2024, at 0653 hours, Deputies from the Deputy Peter J. Herrera Patrol Station were dispatched to 13178 Alameda Ave (Clint Laundromat) in El Paso County, TX, in reference to a burglary in progress. Deputies arrived and located a vehicle in the area matching the description provided and detained 37-year-old Claudia Cardenas and 29-year-old Lorraine Allen. Deputies located 29-year-old Jesus Vargas, who was on foot attempting to conceal himself nearby. Vargas was found to have an outstanding criminal warrant for Poss CS PG 1/1-B <1G. Surveillance footage revealed that all three subjects were involved in burglarizing a coin machine at the business. A burglary tool and several coins were located inside the vehicle. All three subjects were subsequently taken into custody and booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility without incident with the following charges: Claudia Cardenas: Burglary of Coin Operating Machine & Fail to Identify Giving False/Fictitious Info. Lorraine Allen: Burglary of Coin Operating Machine. Jesus Vargas: Burglary of Coin Operating Machine & Poss CS PG 1/1-B <1G.
