L.A. Area Chamber Commends Mayor Karen Bass and LADWP for Securing $8M Grant for L.A. Energy Infrastructure

LOS ANGELES, CA - September 25, 2024 - The Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce issued the following statement, commending Mayor Karen Bass and the Los Angeles Department of Water and Power (LADWP) for securing $8 million in grant funding from the U.S. Department of Energy's Grid Deployment Office, awarded through the Maintaining and Enhancing Hydroelectricity Incentive program.

"We applaud Mayor Bass and LADWP for their leadership in securing this critical funding to strengthen our city's energy infrastructure," stated Maria S. Salinas, President and CEO of the Los Angeles Area Chamber of Commerce. "This investment will enhance our energy resilience and ensure that Los Angeles continues to meet the needs of its businesses and residents as we transition toward a more sustainable future."
