Glenhardie Road Bridge Replacement Project Construction Update - August 2024

Glenhardie Road Bridge Replacement Project

Construction Update #1 (8/14/24)

Advanced work will begin next week on Glenhardie Road near the existing Glenhardie Road over Trout Creek, near the intersection of Glenhardie and Richards Roads. JVI Group was hired by Tredyffrin Township and they will perform demolition work on the existing bridge and replacement of the new Glenhardie Road Bridge over Trout Creek.

During the week of August 19, 2024, JVI Group, and their team, will be removing existing trees on the upstream and downstream sides of the existing bridge. Following the tree removal, Comcast/Verizon communication lines will be temporary relocated for the duration of the project.

JVI Group anticipates demolition of the existing bridge to begin in mid-late September, work on the new footer/bridge foundations to follow, and construction of the new Glenhardie Road Bridge over Trout Creek to begin in late October and last into December. Schedule on construction activities may be impacted by weather, but as of now work on the new bridge is expected to be completed by the end of 2024.

During the project (September '24 - December '24) the bridge and roadway will be closed to through traffic and local traffic will access the residential properties from the south side of Glenhardie Road.

Future project status updates will be posted as work progresses. If residents have any questions regarding the Glenhardie Road Bridge Replacement Project over Trout Creek, they can email [email protected] or call Hilliary Mallory at 610-408-3626.
