J A K A R T A, June 4, 2024- Lion Group and Jeju Air announced a strategic partnership that will make it easier for travelers to explore international destinations. The deal was signed by Lion Group President Director Capt. Daniel Putut Kuncoro Adi and President Director of Jeju Air, Kim E-Bae, in Jakarta. The signing was witnessed by Consular, Embasssy of the Republic of Korea in Indonesia, Suntae CHO; Otto Hardianto, Special Staff of the Minister for Economic and Financial Transportation of the Republic of Indonesia; Air Transportation Director, Putu Eka Cahyadi, President Director of Lion Air, Rudy Lumingkewas; President Director of International Batam Airport, Pikri Ilham Kurniansyah, Director of Safety, Security and Quality (Safety, Security and Quality) Lion Air, Capt. With flights through Bali (DPS) and Batam (BTH), travelers from various cities in Indonesia now have the best option to continue flights to Incheon, South Korea. After arriving in Incheon, Jeju Air offers easy transfers to a total of 36 international routes, including 8 routes to Japan and 11 routes to China. This service provides added value for travelers to explore more destinations with flexibility and comfort.

In addition, this cooperation also supports government programs in bringing foreign tourists to Indonesia. With more integrated flight services, travelers from South Korea and other countries can easily visit Indonesian cities through Batam (BTH) and Bali (DPS). This is expected to increase the number of foreign tourists and make a positive contribution to Indonesian tourism.

Capt. Daniel Putut Kuncoro Adi, President Director of Lion Group " This cooperation is an important step for Lion Group in providing convenience for Indonesian travelers to explore more international destinations. We understand that comfort and flexibility are very important for travelers, and with this multicity concept, we can provide a broader and efficient choice of routes."

" We are also proud to support the government program in bringing foreign tourists to Indonesia. With more flight options available, we hope that more travelers from different countries will be interested in visiting the beauty and cultural diversity offered by cities in Indonesia," said Capt. Daniel

Kim E-Bae, President Director of Jeju Air " Through this collaboration, Jeju Air is committed to delivering an easier and more fun travel experience for travelers. We are confident that by combining our aviation network with Lion Group, travelers will experience great benefits from increased accessibility and flexibility in planning their trips."

" In addition, Lion Group and Jeju Air code share services are excited to introduce more foreign tourists to Indonesia. We believe that this partnership will not only strengthen bilateral relations between South Korea and Indonesia, but will also open new opportunities for tourism development in both countries. We are looking forward to the positive impact this collaboration will have on travelers and the tourism industry," said Kim.

On the same occasion, Pikri Ilham Kurniansyah, President Director of PT Airport International Batam (BIB)stated, " This collaboration is the implementation of strategic collaboration between airports and national and foreign airlines. PT BIB has transformed from a single entity into a part of a larger ecosystem, with the role of an orchestrator in realizing international flight routes. Batam is the key to Indonesia's strategy to renew air traffic rights, so that Batam-Incheon flight routes and vice versa can be realized by leveraging the power of Lion Group in the domestic market. Incheon-Batam flight will be connected to Lion Group domestic flights via Batam."

" In addition, the code share cooperation on the Incheon-Bali route and instead using the Lion Group fleet again confirms the position of Lion Group as a link between international and domestic markets. We are proud to be part of this history, and as airport managers, we are ready to welcome our guests from Korea with the best service," said Pikri
