Help for Those Impacted by the Alberta Wildfires

In response to the Alberta wildfires, Lyft is committed to doing our part to help those in need. We're activating our Lyft Up Disaster Response program to provide access to free and discounted rides to help those in Alberta travel to and from designated shelters with critical resources.

Rides can be accessed in the areas listed below using the code ALBERTARELIEF24, valid for 2 rides up to 25 CAD each for 1,000 riders from now until 07/31 at 11:59 p.m. We recommend checking operational hours and availability before visiting the shelters, and following local guidelines when going to a public disaster shelter.

Lyft Up is our comprehensive effort to expand transportation access to those who need it most. Through Lyft Up, we partner with leading nonprofits to help provide access to free and discounted rides to individuals and families who lack affordable, reliable transportation.

Safety is fundamental to Lyft and we will continue to monitor the area's conditions and communicate with Lyft drivers, riders, and government officials. At this time, we're focused on areas where we're best able to support riders and drivers. We'll continue to add locations as we're able. As always, we look forward to providing access to rides to those who need them.

Additionally, if you are outside of the affected area and would like to support those impacted by the fire, please select Canadian Red Cross as your preferred nonprofit partner in the 'Donate' section of the Lyft app. Learn more about the Canadian Red Cross' efforts here.

Our hearts go out to those impacted by the Alberta wildfires.
