Reflecting Raleigh: Upcoming Community Conversation

Raleigh's Comprehensive Plan serves as the city's long-term vision for the built environment and is required by state law to enforce zoning and development regulations. Originally adopted in 2009 and updated from 2014-2019, the plan includes policies that guide Raleigh's growth in alignment with adopted Vision Themes, Growth Framework, and tools such as the Future Land Use Map and Urban Form Map.

Reflecting Raleigh is in the process of developing the Next Comprehensive Plan, which will include a focus on sustainable and equitable growth, policy development, and enhanced community engagement. This process will includea series of Community Conversations centered around six core themes: Affordable Housing, Stormwater, Mobility, Trees, Neighborhood Change, and Sustainable Infrastructure & Services.

Please join us for the upcoming Stormwater Community Conversation in December. Raleigh Planning and Development and Raleigh Stormwater will host two nights of presentations and discussion on flood management, climate adaptation, and stormwater priorities, challenges, and opportunities. The valuable feedback you provide at these events will inform the vision and goals of the Next Comprehensive Plan.
