Overnight routine inspections will take place on Ennerdale Bridge later this month (November), to ensure its continued safety and reliability.
To ensure the inspections are carried out safely and with minimal disruption to traffic, the bridge on Raich Carter Way will be closed to all traffic on the following dates and times:
The inspections will be conducted by Hull City Council's bridges team, who will thoroughly examine all components of the structure, including the deck, supports, and joints.
The footpaths will remain open, and a signed diversion route will be in place for road users via Clough Road and Ferry Lane.
Councillor Mark Ieronimo, portfolio holder for transportation, roads, and highways at Hull City Council, said: "We understand that this is a popular route for road users, but it is crucial that these inspections are conducted, to ensure the continued safety and reliability of the structure.
"While I recognise the inconvenience these closures may cause, I am pleased that it has been possible to schedule them overnight to minimise disruption.
"Thank you, in advance, to residents and road users for their patience, understanding and cooperation whilst we carry out this crucial work."
Road users are advised to plan their journeys in advance and use alternative routes where possible.
