As the heating season approaches in many parts of north China, the LNG receiving terminal of Sinopec in Tianjin has witnessed a surge in arrival of LNG container vessels in recent days. The terminal, which serves the seasonal peak-shaving and gas supply tasks for the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei area, has unloaded 990,000 tonnes of LNG and supplied 900 million cubic meters of natural gas in September and October this year, a year-on-year increase of 87 percent and 20 percent, respectively.
