Israel/Palestinian Territories – Attack on three schools in the Gaza Strip (27.09.24)

France expresses its outrage following the Israeli strikes targeting three schools in Gaza over the past week, which killed more than 40 people and injured several dozen others.

For several weeks, the Israeli army has repeatedly targeted schools where civilians have taken refuge. The number of civilian victims of these attacks is intolerable. France recalls that Israel has an obligation to comply with international humanitarian law.

In view of the absolute emergency in Gaza, France reiterates its call for the unconditional release of all the hostages without delay and for an immediate, permanent ceasefire, which should enable the massive and unimpeded delivery of humanitarian aid.
