In January 2023, the New York State Police began an investigation into allegations of missing funds from CNY Premier Soccer Club Inc. after paying members received notifications that the company went bankrupt.

The investigation concluded on July 2, 2024, with the arrest of Paul R. Palucci, age 36, from Cicero, NY, for Falsify Business Records 1st degree (class "E" felony) and Grand Larceny 2nd degree (class "C" felony).

It is alleged that Palucci made numerous fraudulent charges using accounts of CNY Premier Soccer Club Inc. that totaled over $50,000 and changed the club's bylaws for his benefit, resulting in false entries to be made into business records.

Palucci was processed at SP North Syracuse, arraigned at Onondaga County CAP Court, and released on his own recognizance.
