Lubrizol Contributes More Than 6600 Volunteer Hours in Second Quarter

The Lubrizol Corporation, a science-based company that delivers sustainable solutions to advance mobility, improve well-being and enhance modern life, donated more than 6,600 volunteer hours in the second quarter of 2024. This included the company's first ever Global Month of Impact in June, where more than a thousand employees served their local communities across 34 sites in 11 countries.

"I am so proud of the work Team Lubrizol completed during its first annual Global Month of Impact," said Elizabeth Grove, Vice President of Public Affairs. "Collectively, we made positive impact on 230,000+ individuals around the world through our impact pillars of education, health and sustainability."

For its Global Month of Impact, the Lubrizol team supported 27 charitable organization partners and completed nearly 40 projects. From enabling young campers to participate in outdoor education to beautifying local parks and removing litter from roads and rivers, here are a few examples of the community investment efforts Lubrizol made to "Create Community Chemistry."

Asia Pacific

• Collected more than 80kg of abandoned trash and weathered bamboo along a riverbank.
• Fed more than 15,000 individuals through harvesting vegetables, preparing, and delivering meals.
• Organized a bazaar to raise funds to support disaster relief and children's welfare.
• Created a mural to beautify a small town for residents.

Europe, India, Middle East, Africa

• Worked to protect life on land by planting 200+ trees, cleaning up a riverbank, clearing brush in multiple parks and other much needed landscaping efforts.
• Inspired youth to think about the evolving world of STEM careers.
• Prepared meals and fed more than 300 individuals in one day.

Latin America

• Hosted events for youth to feed, entertain, and raise the spirits of youth and families in need.
• Restored soil to help strengthen and restore the agro-ecological production in a nearby lake area.

North America

• Distributed more than 600 meals and harvested more than 1,500 pounds of food.
• Assembled and donated 450 personal care kits for youth in a local hospital.
• Renovated playground bases and painted a gym at a local education center.
• Assembled furnishings and prepped an area for the construction of an outdoor learning lab and built benches for a new glass house at local middle schools.
• Improved residence facilities for families facing domestic violence to create a safe space for their recovery.
• Prepared a camp that hosts 10,000 visitors a year for its summer season with improvements that included designing and installing a new orienteering course, fabricating a new amphitheater, removing fallen trees blocking trails, painting cabins, and much more.
