On July 24, 2024, members of the HIDTA Task Force arrested Carlos Camarena, age 18, of 38 Cold Spring Place, Woonsocket, Rhode Island, for the following: 1) Possession of a Firearm While Committing a Controlled Substance Violation; 2) Large-Capacity Feeding Devices Prohibited; 3) Possession With the Intent to Deliver 1 oz - 1 kilo of a Schedule II Controlled Substance - Fentanyl; 4) Possession With the Intent to Deliver 1 oz - 1 kilo of a Schedule II Controlled Substance - Crack Cocaine; 5) Possession With the Intent to Deliver 1 oz - 1 kilo of a Schedule II Controlled Substance - Cocaine; 6) Possession With the Intent to Deliver a Schedule II Controlled Substance - Fentanyl; 7) Possession With the Intent to Deliver a Schedule II Controlled Substance - Crack Cocaine; and 8) Possession With the Intent to Deliver a Schedule II Controlled Substance - Cocaine. Mr. Camarena was transported to the Lincoln Barracks for processing, then turned over to Sixth Division District Court officials for his morning arraignment.

On July 24, 2024, members of the Rhode Island Violent Fugitive Task Force and the Rhode Island State Police Scituate Barracks arrested Trea Hopper, age 31, of 109 Sacred Heart Avenue, Central Falls, Rhode Island, on the following: 1) Affidavit and Arrest Warrant from the Warwick Police Department for Domestic Violation of a No Contact Order and Larceny under $1500; 2) Affidavit and Arrest Warrant from the Providence Police Department for Domestic Simple Assault; 3) Superior Court Full Bench HWOB Warrant for Domestic Felony Assault out of the Providence Police Department; 4) Fugitive From Justice from Berlin Connecticut for the following: A) Threatening in the Second Degree and Breach of Peace in the Second Degree, signed 05/28/24, with a court set bond of $50,000 -- listed in NCIC as Extraditable from New England states; B.) Violation of a Protective Order and Harassment in the Second Degree, signed 09/02/22, with a court set bond of $50,000 -- listed in NCIC as Extraditable from Rhode Island only; C)Violation of a Protective Order and Harassment in the Second Degree, signed 10/11/22, with a court set bond of $5,000; D) Violation of a Protective Order, Threatening in the Second Degree, and Harassment in the Second Degree, signed 10/12/22, with a court set bond of $10,000; E) Violation of a Protective Order, signed 12/01/22, with a court set bond of $10,000; F) Violation of a Protective Order, Threatening in the Second Degree, Unlawful Dissemination of an Intimate Image and Harassment in the First Degree, signed 12/08/22, with a court set bond of $50,000; G) Failure to Appear in the Second Degree, signed 07/20/22, with a court set bond of $50,000; H) Failure to Appear in the Second Degree, signed 09/23/22, with a court set bond of $5,000; and I) Failure to Appear in the Second Degree, signed 09/23/22, with a court set bond of $2,000. Mr. Hopper was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Warwick Police Department for processing and arraignment.

On July 25, 2024, members of the Rhode Island Violent Fugitive Task Force and the Providence Police Department arrested Paul Fennessey, age 60, of 460 Pine Street, Providence, Rhode Island, as a Fugitive from Justice out of the Attleboro Police Department for Failure to Register as a Level 3 Sex Offender in the State of Massachusetts. Mr. Fennessey was taken into custody without incident and turned over to members of the Providence Police Department for his arraignment.
