Washington, D.C. - Today, the U.S. Senate confirmed U.S. Senators Jon Ossoff and Reverend Raphael Warnock's nominee, Tiffany Rene Johnson, for the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.

In July, President Joe Biden accepted Sens. Ossoff and Reverend Raphael Warnock's recommendation and nominated Tiffany Rene Johnson to serve as a Judge on the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia.

"I am pleased that the Senate has confirmed Tiffany Rene Johnson for this key Federal judgeship. I am confident that Ms. Johnson will perform her duties with impartiality and professionalism, guided by commitments to truth, integrity, and justice, and I congratulate Ms. Johnson and her family on this historic day," Sen. Ossoff said.

"Tiffany Johnson's temperament, discernment, and legal wisdom are exemplary. I'm elated to have voted to confirm her to serve as the next judge in the Northern District of Georgia," said Senator Reverend Warnock. "Johnson is a dedicated public servant with a long-standing commitment to the rule of law and serving her community. Georgians throughout the Northern District will be well served by her legal mind and dedication to the Peach State."

Tiffany R. Johnson has been an Assistant United States Attorney in the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Northern District of Georgia since 2017. She served in the office's Civil Division until 2020, when she transferred to its Criminal Division.

From 2012 to 2017, Ms. Johnson worked as a litigation associate at the Atlanta law firm of Parker, Hudson, Rainer & Dobbs, LLP. She received her J.D. from Wake Forest University School of Law in 2012 and her B.A., magna cum laude, from Princeton University in 2009.
