Published July 31, 2024, the article explains that, while he is contractually obligated to live in the president's house on campus, President Santa Ono and his wife also purchased a house in nearby West Bloomfield Township where he declared primary residency, thereby saving approximately $3800 in taxes as part of Michigan's principal residence exemption.
