Register to Vote
Check if you're registered to vote on mi.gov/vote.
The deadline to register by mail or online and be eligible to vote for the November election is Oct. 21. Registration must be done in person with the Sterling Heights City Clerk's office with proof of residency between Oct. 22 and Election Day on Nov. 5
Absentee Ballots
Absentee ballots for the November 5, 2024 Presidential Election will be mailed out on Thursday, Sept. 26 and hitting mailboxes shortly thereafter.
You can track your application or ballot status at mi.gov/vote. Ballots must be returned to the City Clerk's office by Nov. 5 at 8 p.m.
If you would like to vote by absentee ballot and have not applied yet, online applications may be submitted until 5 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 1.
In-Person Early Voting
Early Voting will take place from Saturday, Oct. 26 through Sunday, Nov. 3 from 9 a.m. - 5 p.m. each day including Saturdays and Sundays at the following locations:
Community Center

Chaldean Community Foundation
3601 15 Mile Rd.
Sterling Heights, MI 48310
Voters can cast their ballot in-person or return their Absentee Ballot during these nine days of Early Voting.
Election Day
On Election Day, head to your designated place to vote. Click here to find your precinct. Polls will be open from 7 a.m. - 8 p.m.

Our City Clerk's office is looking for qualified Election Inspectors to assist with the General Election on Nov. 5.
