Pipe Replacement Project Starts Next Week on Housels Run Road in West Chillisquaque Township, Northumberland County

Montoursville, PA - Motorists are advised that a portion of Housels Run Road (Route 1031) will be closed next week in West Chillisquaque Township, Northumberland County, due to a maintenance project.

On Monday, September 23, 2024, Housels Run Road will be closed between Route 45 and Center Street, while a Pennsylvania Department of Transportation (PennDOT) maintenance crew replaces deteriorating pipes. A detour using Route 45, Route 405, and Housels Run will be in place while work is being performed. Work will be performed between the hours of 7:00 AM and 4:00 PM, weather pending.

On Tuesday, September 24, 2024, Housels Run Road will be closed between just north of Muffley Nursery Road and Sodom Road, while a PennDOT maintenance crew replaces deteriorating pipes. A detour using Route 45, Route 405, and Housels Run Road will be in place while work is being performed. Work will be performed between the hours of 7:00 AM and 4:00 PM, weather pending.

School buses will be permitted through the work zone prior to the project starting.
