President Vahagn Khachaturyan and Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan attended the launch of the annual workshop of heads of RA diplomatic missions in foreign countries.

The President of the Republic delivered an opening speech and wished the diplomats productive working discussions.

"First of all, I would like to thank all the Ambassadors, Permanent Representatives and Consuls-General for their hard work and dedicated service. Unfortunately, your service takes place in a geopolitically complex and difficult period for the country, when, in parallel with the implementation of the daily diplomatic mission, Armenia started the process of diversifying the architecture of foreign policy and security. Today, not only Armenia, but also our region and, perhaps, the whole world are going through difficult times. The current world order is changing at a rather dynamic pace, often in an unpredictable direction, and in this turbulent geopolitical environment, when we are witnessing crises crossing borders, the role of diplomacy in urgently solving priority problems is especially significant, since the successes achieved by diplomats and, most unfortunately, failures have a significant impact on the state, its international image, security atmosphere.

Distinguished Ambassadors,

One thing is clear: every day, the ambassador and the diplomatic mission must have a goal for that day, week or month. This will be the key to proactive diplomacy, a guarantee of the visibility of the Republic of Armenia and, as a result, success in the diplomatic sphere.

I am glad that steps are being taken to expand the geography of diplomatic missions. Undoubtedly, the presence of embassies in different capitals significantly contributes to strengthening and expanding cooperation with international partners, increasing the visibility and recognition of Armenia.

In conclusion, I would like to express my hope that close and mutually beneficial cooperation with your colleagues from like-minded countries on various platforms will contribute to the implementation of the fundamental principles and goals of the foreign policy of the Republic of Armenia, reducing global and regional threats, maintaining peace and security.
