A New Role for Lynn Levy

Since joining The Times, Lynn Levy has helped define and broaden our culture coverage in audio, collaborating with reporters, critics and editors, and developing entirely new formats to bring to our listeners. She's had a hand in many of our most memorable stories: 5 Minutes to Love jazz flute and Max Roach); Brat green vs. Barbie pink; Eurovision, explained; appreciations of Chita Rivera, Dr. Ruth, Cordell Jackson, Frank O'Hara and many more.

All of which is why we're thrilled that Lynn is bringing her sense of story and craft to the "Modern Love" podcast. In her new role as supervising editor, Lynn will help lead the team in its pivot from a seasonal to a weekly show. She'll help evolve the show, reimagining how we tell great love stories, in all their complexities, every week. If you recently heard the actor Gillian Anderson talking very openly about the need for women to embrace their sexual fantasies, you'll know what we mean.

Prior to The Times, Lynn built an impressive career in audio, working on ambitious shows including "Radiolab," "The Habitat" and "The Cut on Tuesdays."

Wendy Dorr, who has worked with Lynn for the past two years, says: "Lynn approaches everything she does with great thought and compassion. She's a producer's editor, who's always thinking creatively and artfully about how to solve story problems."

We're thrilled that Lynn will bring this creativity and artistry to the Modern Love podcast team. Please join me in congratulating her!
