Why should I go?

If you're looking for a way to stay fit and enjoy the outdoors, check out Seaport Sweat, Boston's biggest free workout series. Back for its ninth season, Seaport Sweat offers a variety of classes from May through September, featuring a mix of new and award-winning instructors offering classes like yoga, pilates, Zumba, barre, athletic conditioning, and boot camp training.

Tonight, July 29, at 5:30 pm, join LIT2LIFT instructors Darren Stephens and Jonady St. Germain for a 45-minute high-intensity interval training (HIIT) class filled with high energy, great music, and functional exercises, and ending with a cooldown. LIT2LIFT, a Black-owned fitness brand cofounded by Stephens and St. Germain, aims to promote fitness and healthy living. Both instructors, born and raised in Boston and graduates of Bridgewater State University, are certified personal trainers and have extensive experience training groups and individuals across the Greater Boston area.

Then, at 6:30 pm, join instructor Britney Willingham for a 45-minute pilates fusion session designed for beginners. This class incorporates both classic and contemporary sequences, along with breathing exercises to enhance muscle strength and flexibility. Willingham, who teaches pilates, yoga, fitness, and dance throughout Boston and the MetroWest area, will guide you through the workout.

Remember to bring your own exercise mat and water bottle, as Seaport Sweat does not provide equipment.
