Riverside Park Road Closure between Bowen Ave and Lincoln Ave (near the Super Slide Park)

What: Riverside Park Road will be closed to replace the water main.

When: The week of 7/22/2024 traffic will still be allowed while prep work occurs. The week of 7/29/2024 the road will be closed for an expected duration of 1 month.

Detour: Northbound traffic will be routed east on Bowen Avenue, north on Anderson Street, west on Sweet Avenue, north on Bell Street, and then west on Lincoln Avenue. Southbound traffic will follow the same detour route, but in the opposite direction. The zoo and shelter #8 will be accessible from their normal access road. The normal access road for the Super Slide Amusement Park, Community Center Shelter, and shelters 5, 6, and 7 will be closed. Instead, traffic going to those areas will use the sand volleyball access road and then travel southbound through Sertoma Park. The internal road through Sertoma Park will be a one-way southbound.
