Sundays in the Park kicks off July 7 in Muskoseepi Park

Sundays in the Park returns this summer with various activities for the community to check out on a trip to Muskoseepi Park.

Events are organized with local community groups, are free to attend and are family-friendly for all ages.

"We're excited to partner with our local community groups again to bring residents another fun year of activities in Muskoseepi Park," said City of Grande Prairie Mayor, Jackie Clayton. "Engaging relationships with our diverse community groups is a key piece to the success of this initiative and providing family-friendly experiences and fun to our residents year-round."

Come down to one, or many, of the following activities taking place from 12 p.m. to 4 p.m. as part of Sundays in the Park:

  • July 7: Board games and activities in the Ernie Radbourne Pavilion, facilitated by Card's Board Game CafĂ©.
  • July 7: Pop-up book nook with a small assortment of books available to check out, facilitated by the Grande Prairie Library.
  • July 14: Dance lessons at the Amphitheatre, facilitated by Peace Country Western Dance.
  • July 21: Historical stories at the Hermit Lake School (located in the Grande Prairie Museum's Heritage Village) read by the Generations Reader's Theatre.
  • July 28: Giant board games in the field, facilitated by the City of Grande Prairie.
  • August 4: Pop-up book nook with a small assortment of books available to check out, facilitated by the Grande Prairie Library.

All activities are drop-in and available on a first-come, first-served basis.

The City looks forward to another year of fun activities in the green space located in the heart of Grande Prairie.
