Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes investigating suspicious death

On October 10, 2024 at approximately 12:00 p.m., La Ronge RCMP received a report of a deceased individual at a residence in the Bell's Point area of the Lac La Ronge Indian Band.

La Ronge RCMP immediately responded and secured the scene for further investigation. Due to the circumstances of the incident, Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes is investigating the male's death, which is considered suspicious. The Saskatchewan Coroners Service is assisting with this ongoing investigation.

The male, who is an adult, has been identified and next of kin notification is still occurring. We are not providing additional details about the male at this time.

Saskatchewan RCMP Major Crimes is asking anyone who may have witnessed suspicious activity in the Bell's Point area between October 7 and October 10, to contact them.
