On Monday, September 30, the Third Meeting of Political Consultations between Argentina and Latvia, a mechanism established to deepen diplomatic, commercial and cultural ties between both nations, was held at the San Martín Palace.

The meeting was chaired by the Undersecretary of Foreign Policy, Marcia Levaggi, and the Undersecretary of State and Political Director of the Latvian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Ivars Lasis, within the framework of his visit to the country.

During the meeting, topics such as Argentina's interest in NATO's Global Partners Program and the situation in Ukraine were discussed. Both delegations also exchanged points of view on the bilateral agenda, the economic-trade relationship, support for candidacies, the Question of the Malvinas Islands, parliamentary cooperation, the MERCOSUR-European Union Strategic Association Agreement and the Argentina's process of accession to the OECD.

Furthermore, regional issues of Latin America, the Middle East and Europe were also discussed, as well as the desire to collaborate more closely before the challenges posed by the international context.
