Consumer Advocates Call for Adoption of Consumer Protections for Consumers Getting Solar Panels

The Consumer Federation of America (CFA) joined four other advocates in a letter urging the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau to adopt consumer protections to end predatory solar transactions. These safeguards will protect consumers from unsuitable products, predatory financing, and fraud when getting solar panels installed and financed.

The many benefits of solar energy expansion should not be undermined by predatory business practices and repeat offenders in these industries.
