Jeremy Cook OBE appointed Chief Operating Officer

Jeremy Cook OBE BEng MSc has been appointed Senior Vice President (Operations)/Chief Operating Officer, following an extensive search process. Jeremy will start at King's in March 2025.

Jeremy joins King's from the University of Durham where he has held the role of Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Colleges and Student Experience) since September 2019 after leaving the British Army. Over the last five years he has overseen a significant period of growth and transformation, significantly enhancing the efficiency and effectiveness of student operations, processes and services as well as overseeing multiple infrastructure projects.

Notably, Jeremy led a pan-university review of their Student Support system, successfully delivering an enhanced support service and associated IT systems which placed students at the heart of the service.

During his time at the Ministry of Defence and British Army, Jeremy has served as Deputy Director of the Army's Collective Training Transformation Programme and previously led the Army's Strategic Training Governance Review.

He was also responsible for coordinating overseas operational planning and the generation of security forces for the London 2012 Olympic Games for which he was appointed Officer of the Order of the British Empire (OBE).
