Town of Fort Myers Beach Emergency Management continues to monitor Hurricane Helene

Fort Myers Beach Emergency Management continues to monitor Hurricane Helene as it moves past our Island. The Town continues to communicate with Lee County and municipal partners.

With inclement weather anticipated throughout the day, the Town asks you to try to limit your travel and stay off the Island if you are not already here. According to weather reports - the standing water that is currently on the Island will not be receding any time soon.

Sand was pushed onto Times Square with the high tide this morning. The Town asks you to avoid this area until it has been cleaned when the storm fully passes Fort Myers Beach as there could be debris hidden in the sand.
