Five Candidates Qualify to Fill District 4 Monroe County Commission Seat; Special Election to be Held on Tuesday, Nov. 5.

Five candidates have officially qualified to fill the District 4 Monroe County Commission seat vacated by the mid-term resignation of George Emami.

The candidates listed in alphabetical order are: Mark D'Agostino, David Hunter, Larry Stewart, Albert Turner, and Doug Williams.

The winner of the Tuesday, Nov. 5 non-partisan special election will immediately begin his Commission term and will serve through December 2026. If there is a run-off in the Nov. 5 special election, it will be held on Tuesday, Dec. 3.

Also, three candidates have officially qualified to fill a pair of vacancies on the Culloden City Council.

The candidates listed in alphabetical order are: Aaron Hester, Jimmy Pierson, and Jacob Sanders.

The Culloden City Council election will also take place on Tuesday, Nov. 5 with a run-off, if necessary, scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 3. The top two of the three vote-getters will be elected to the Culloden City Council.

Meanwhile, incumbent Culloden Mayor Lynn Miller was the lone candidate to qualify for the Culloden Mayoral race. Miller, who is seeking a third term in office, will be on the ballot as well on Tuesday, Nov. 5.
