Alosra Supermarket Celebrates German Week

In a celebration of culture and culinary excellence, and coinciding with German Unity Day, Alosra Supermarket successfully launched its German Week on October 3. This initiative is in collaboration with the German Embassy in Bahrain, as part of the German Weeks festivities conducted by the embassy. The event, which will run until October 9, brings an authentic taste of Germany to Bahrain, featuring a wide range of traditional German products and delicacies.

The highlight of the week was the visit by the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany, His Excellency Mr. Clemens Hach, who personally attended a celebratory ceremony at Alosra's El Mercado Janabiya branch. The ambassador's presence underscored the strong ties between Bahrain and Germany, and his participation was a testament to the significance of the event.

One of the unique aspects of German Week was the special collaboration with a German Bakery Master, who trained Alosra's in-house bakers in crafting a selection of traditional German bakery items. Shoppers were treated to freshly made pretzels, sourdough and rye breads, as well as other baked delicacies, all of which were available for sampling throughout the event.

In addition to the bakery items, the event featured a diverse array of German delicacies and products, many of which were directly imported from Germany. Alosra also partnered with local suppliers to provide shoppers with exclusive discounts of up to 25% on selected German products, making the celebration even more exciting for customers around the island.

During the celebratory event, visitors and distinguished guests enjoyed live entertainment that captured the essence of German culture. From the store tour to the extensive tasting sessions, customers were immersed in a unique cultural experience, discovering the richness of German cuisine and traditions.

Alosra's 'German Week' promotions will run across all its Alosra stores in the Kingdom of Bahrain until October 9.
