Marquette will host an international conference featuring dozens of experts in the field of Caribbean studies, plus the two keynote events, on Thursday, Oct. 5, and Friday, Oct. 6.

  • Keynote address: Thursday, Oct. 5, 5-6 p.m., AMU Lunda Room: "Challenges of the Image in a Caribbean Queer Digital Novel: Juan Antonio Rodríguez Pagán's Ondergraund.com," by Carlos Vázquez Cruz, Kalamazoo College
  • Master Keynote Address: Friday, Oct. 6, 3:30-4:30 p.m., Raynor Memorial Libraries, Beaumier Suites BC: "Jíbaro Chronicles, the Formation of a Social Artivist: Deciphering and Surviving the American Dream," by Máximo Rafael Colón, New York-Based Puerto Rican Social Documentary Photographer

No registration is required. Faculty and students are welcome.
