Beneva supports communities affected by wildfires in Alberta

Quebec City, July 30, 2024 - Beneva donates $20,000 to support emergency relief and recovery efforts for the communities affected by wildfires in Alberta and sets up assistance services for its members and clients.

"Beneva is proud to provide support to the Canadian communities affected by the Alberta wildfires. This is why we are supporting the emergency relief and recovery efforts to those impacted. Our hearts go out to all the people affected by this natural disaster," said Martin Robert, Beneva's Executive Vice-President and Leader, Talent Culture and Communications.

Help measures for impacted Canadians

Beneva, through its partnership with TELUS Health, sets up a helpline offering 3 hours of mental health support to its members and clients. This service is free and confidential. The number to reach the 24/7 helpline is 1 800 387-4765. Please mention Beneva Forest Fires as the reason for the call.

Furthermore, Beneva allows pharmacists to accept early renewals for insured's whose prescription drugs were left behind or lost in the fire, even if the 30-day period since their last refill has not expired.

Those wishing to contribute to the 2024 Alberta Wildfires Appeal set up by the Canadian Red Cross may donate to it online (redcross.ca) or over the phone (1 800 418-1111).
