Donate Food and Have Parking Fines Reduced at UW Starting Today

People who have unpaid parking citations of less than $39 at the University of Wyoming can have their fines reduced by donating nonperishable items for a food drive beginning today (Monday).

UW Transportation Services' "Food for Fines" program is underway through Friday, Dec. 13. Customers can bring two nonperishable food donations to the Transportation Services office, located at 1602 E. Spring Creek Drive, and receive a 30 percent discount on one outstanding fine. Customers with multiple violations may participate in the program up to three times.

All food items received by Transportation Services will be donated to the UW Food Share Pantry and Cabinets on campus. Expired or opened nonperishable food donations will not be accepted. Customers are asked to be mindful when selecting donation items. Transportation Services reserves the right to revoke a customer's participation in the program at any time.

For more information and a list of popular nonperishable items to donate, visit the UW Transportation Services website at www.uwyo.edu/transportation; call the office at (307) 766-9800; or email [email protected].
