LEADER JEFFRIES STATEMENT ON HISPANIC HERITAGE MONTH

Brooklyn, NY - Today, House Democratic Leader Hakeem Jeffries issued the following statement in recognition of Hispanic Heritage Month:

During Hispanic Heritage Month, we celebrate the strength, vibrancy and achievements of the more than 63 million Hispanic and Latino Americans across our country.

America is a gorgeous mosaic made better by all those who call this land home. Our diversity is our strength. This month, and every month, we honor the rich history, immense contributions and unique diversity of Hispanic and Latino communities here and throughout the world.

House Democrats will continue to work to move this country toward a more perfect union where every single person has access to the great American dream, a chance to provide for their families and the dignity to preserve and honor their culture for generations to come. This Hispanic Heritage Month, we pay tribute to the legacy of Hispanic and Latino Americans and reaffirm our commitment to a more just and equitable future.
